Starting Point at SALT Church
Starting Point is a welcoming, conversational gathering led by our pastors that introduces the mission, values, beliefs, and direction of SALT Church. Whether you're new to SALT Church, have been attending for a while, or are considering church membership, Starting Point is designed to help you learn who we are, why we exist, and how you can become part of the life and mission of our church family.
As SALT Church continues its next chapter following our transition from Sarasota Baptist Church, Starting Point provides an opportunity to hear our story, ask questions, meet church leaders, and discover what it means to belong here. We'll discuss our mission of leading people to know JESUS and live like Him, our core values, our approach to ministry, and the pathway to membership and involvement.
When Does Starting Point Meet?
Starting Point meets during our 10:30am hour, immediately following our 9:00am worship service. Coffee and refreshments are provided, creating a relaxed environment for conversation, connection, and questions.
What About My Children?
Since Starting Point takes place during our regular second-hour ministry time, children and students are encouraged to participate in their age-appropriate groups and activities throughout the church.
- Birth through Kindergarten can participate in our preschool ministry environments.
-Elementary-age children can join SALT Kids.
-Students are encouraged to attend Starting Point with their family.
This allows parents and guardians to fully engage in the class while their children are cared for and growing in a safe, Christ-centered environment.
Is Starting Point Required?
Starting Point is an important step for anyone interested in becoming a member of SALT Church. While attending the class does not obligate you to pursue membership, it provides the information you need to prayerfully consider whether SALT Church is the place where God is calling you to connect, grow, serve, and live on mission.
