This vision and church strategy comes after much time seeking the Lord's wisdom and guidance. We believe that there are major areas and many people in our region that do not know Christ and do not have Gospel-centered church presence. Thus, the heart of this church is to cover Sarasota with the Gospel,. Along with this strategic vision is a change in our branding/forward facing name, as SALT Church...coming Summer/Fall 2026.

I’m so grateful you’ve taken a moment to visit this page and learn more about what God is doing in and through our church family. Right now, we are in a very special season—a season of becoming. For many years, we have been known as Sarasota Baptist Church, and we thank God for His faithfulness through every chapter. Lives have been changed, families strengthened, and the Gospel faithfully proclaimed. And now, we sense the Lord leading us into a new season of clarity and calling.

We are stepping forward in what we are calling “Becoming SALT.” This means that while our legal name remains Sarasota Baptist Church, we are embracing a new “known as” identity: SALT Church—a name rooted in the words of Jesus: “You are the salt of the earth.” — Matthew 5:13. Salt makes a difference. Salt brings life and influence. Salt changes the environment. That’s who we believe God is calling us to be. This is not about changing who we are—it’s about clarifying who we are becoming.

Our mission remains the same: To lead people to know Jesus and live like Him. And our heart is to be a people who: • Love the Lord deeply • Live His Word daily • Love all people genuinely • Live His mission intentionally In this current season, you may notice both names—Sarasota Baptist Church and SALT Church—as we begin updating signage, communication, and our campus to reflect this new identity. Think of it as a bridge—a transition filled with purpose, unity, and anticipation.

We believe God is positioning us for greater Gospel impact in our community and beyond. And we would love for you to be part of it. Whether you are exploring faith, looking for a church home, or simply curious about what God is doing here, you are welcome. Come experience a community that is centered on Jesus, grounded in His Word, and passionate about helping people take their next step with Him. This is a season of renewal. A season of movement.
